The Northcote Jets Basketball Club committee is willing to consider individual requests, but ultimately the club has a policy of empowering a coaching panel to determine the team each player will be allocated to. The coaching panel will take into account a variety of factors including; team balance, player development and maximising opportunities for all players to enjoy the game. We understand that at times these criteria may conflict, but as a club we fully support the decisions made by the panel and trust that all club members will also offer that support. We also hope that when a child is placed into a team with people they haven’t played with before, that the child’s family supports the child in seeing this as a valuable opportunity to make new friends.
