NORTHCOTE JETS' HEAT POLICIES
Training: If the forecast temperature on the morning of a training day is 35C, training will be cancelled.
This policy applies even if the temperature is amended later in the day.
Playing:  Always assume the game is on until you have been contacted and advised otherwise. The temperature during each timeslot will be closely monitored.  Please ensure that your team manager can contact you if/when games are cancelled under the following heat policy This heat policy (for playing) kicks in when the temperature in the stadium reaches:
  • 35C - Games will be shortened if/when the temperature reaches 35 degrees to 18-minute halves with a compulsory time out at the 9-minute mark per half.  Teams are also encouraged to supplement this with the two optional timeouts that are still permitted per half.
  • 38C - Games will be cancelled if/when the temperature in the stadium reaches 38 degrees.
